Delete your data

Last updated: 30 April 2026

English version

You can request deletion of your Jarnac profile and all data attached to it at any time. This page explains exactly what will be deleted, how to send the request, and how long the process takes.

1. How to request deletion

Send us an email from any address, including your in-game nickname. The nickname is the only way we can find your record - Jarnac uses no email address and no password.

2. What happens next

  1. You email us with your in-game nickname.
  2. We locate your record in the database and confirm it's yours.
  3. We delete your data as described below.
  4. You receive a confirmation reply within 30 days (most requests are processed within 7).

3. What is deleted vs kept

Data Status Detail
Player identifier (device hash) Deleted The hash linked to your profile is erased.
Nickname and avatar Deleted The nickname becomes available for another player.
ELO rating and match history Deleted Matches where you appear are anonymised on the opponent's side (your nickname replaced with "deleted player") so their own history stays intact.
Preferences (language, sound) Deleted Removed together with the profile.
Aggregate server statistics Kept Global, anonymous figures (e.g. total games played server-wide). They can no longer be traced back to you once your profile is removed.
Technical logs Kept briefly Auto-purged after 90 days regardless.

4. What if I reinstall Jarnac later?

If you reinstall the game on the same device, a brand-new anonymous identifier is created on first launch. It has no link to your previous profile - we cannot restore, nor can we "merge", your old history into the new account.

5. Partial deletion

For now, Jarnac only supports full profile deletion. We're working on partial-reset options (for example: reset nickname and avatar, or wipe just your match history while keeping the profile active). This page will be updated as soon as those options ship.
